Hike along part of the famous Ice Age Trail that winds through the county. Langlade County is rich with large and small wildlife. The biking trails showcase the true, natural beauty of Langlade County and its wildlife. To have a memorable wildlife adventure, feed the fenced in deer located on the east side of Highway 45, just north of Antigo. If you are a hunter, we provide diverse licenses for many of the species here.

Manitowish Waters is the Original “Up North” Experience! Nestled in the Northern Highland-American Legion State Forest. The township features the famous Manitowish Waters chain of 10 connected lakes. The community hosts the Northwoods Bad-Dash, a four-mile, 12-obstacle run on Labor Day weekend. Cranberry marsh tours are offered every Friday during the summer. Visit Little Bohemia, where John Dillinger had his 1934 shootout with the FBI. Beautiful accommodations, quaint shops,friendly service and fabulous restaurants await you in Manitowish Waters.
